The meeting witnessed the ordeal of women survivors of marital cruelty whose cases have been
pending for more than 10 years in the court. Survivors spoke on how they are deprived of their
rights and access to justice is often denied to them on the pretext of saving the family. Shri
Rupak Kumar Dutta, Member Secretary, State Human Rights Commission was present in the
meeting
