Donna Fernandes, President of Aweksha, was invited to a Two-day National Seminar on
“Identification of Abusive Relationships and Prevention of Domestic Violence”. Donna
highlighted upon differnt forms of violence against women and elaborated on cruelty towards a
married women by her husband and relatives and importance of section 498A.
Vidushi Asthana, Treasurer of Aweksha was invited to speak in the 8th Virtual National Level
Conference hosted by Kristu Jayanti College on Gender Equity- Barriers, Inclusion and
Enablers. Ms.Vidushi spoke on “The Need to Integrate Women Survivor Centric Mental Health
Support Systems”. She highlighted the need to destigmatize and decentralize mental health
services
